Hello dear public !
So robert has arrived yesterday .
at the begining he was a bit shy but now it(s ok .
we have spent a boring day at school ... 9hours of lessons ...poor guys ...
at 10 they perfomed the haka and after lunch too
(a lot of girls were shouting because they ha never seen it before and were very impressed... all those beautiful guys muscular and strongs it made them crazy :D)
Tonight we took some funny photos with my webcam (photos HERE)
we are a bit tired .

Hi dear public !!!!
Today its Robert who is posting !!!!
Friday was great; Thomas and myself went into town visiting all the shops selling cakes, chocolate and pastries which are typical in Bourges. Then it was off to pat a pain for a hot chocolate ( which was great an eight out of ten), then we had an awesome dinner of german sausages and "choucroute".
On Saturday after a good night's sleep, we went to Amboise and visited an interesting place called the "Parc des Mini Chateaux"

it was really cool to see all the french castles.
The "Aquarium de tourainne" was the next stop for us.
It was here we found Nemo and tried our hands at carp fishing.
Then we visited a house where Leonardo da Vinci lived for three years before he died and where he came up with some of his ingenious inventions.
To end a great day we drove past one of the nearby castles.
Today is Sunday and the last day that I am in Bourges. To
kickstart such a day the entire French tour group had a picnic with the
french home stays. There
we played soccer and went for a
quick bike ride around the lake.
After the picnic and a ( crazy ) bike ride ( by NZ standards) we arrived at the bowling alley. I of course scored a perfect 300 ( which in reality was 66 ). Now we have come in a full circle I am packed and ready to leave by train at six in the morning ( SIX !!!!!!!!!!! )
I really enjoyed this week and getting to know Thomas and his family. The high point of my stay in Bourges was the small play ground with the rideable dragon.

hi dear public ,
I arrived yesterday , After a long flight and a strange stop at Singapore. It was a strange time just walking along corridors , waiting for the plane to come , then waiting in the plane ,sleeping a bit as long I was able to sleep with a sleeping girl on my shoulders. Again there were corridors that seemed oh so familiar from my stay in Singapore. During the flight I met a couple of french backpackers who went to NZ too , but for a year or more if they find a home and set up .
At the airport I had to pass through the bacteriological controls because of the food I brought !
A very gentle man asked me if my conserved food was good , the way to cook it (he was fond of cooking)
at that moment I thought he would take my food for himself ! But he just told me :thats fine , unpacked all my cases ,and help me to re-pack them (that was gentle because aparently that was not the others's business !!!)
Finally I met Robert and his mother and they brought me home by car through the city , I was really surprised because christchurch is full of trees , and that was really diferent to what I have seen before, for exemple road lines are yellow like in america but they drive on the left side of the road !! That is an ameriglish country !!! Interesting isn't it ?
After a short long stop at home , just the time for me to eat a bit of food and have a shower because I was really smelly after 2 days of flying ...
hem.... then we went on a tour of Sumner the weather was really sunny and quite hot so that was really pleasant !
after a short stop at the supermarket we went back home !
and... I just fell asleep at 7pm .

My first day at school was really impressive ,on wednesday we start at 9.30 ,so I could get up later than usually , so I slept 11 hours
...
Then the bus was really late so we were late at my first english lesson ! but the teacher didn't say nothing , just : "sit boys here are your books" , so I red "the kite runner" by
Khaled Hosseini, I was able to read 7 pages in one hour !!! awesome isn't it ?
Then I had My fisrt econmics class , we were told about aggregate supply and demand , and we met Valerie to take some photos.
then we went to an assembly , where the prefects sang , a teacher told about them,runnig on the beach at 2 in the morning 1 year ago, that was funny !
after lunch we had mediastudies , with mr Robinson at the library ;we each studied our own magasine ,lokking at the cover and apreciate the diferent ways it use to catch the audience and,
what is this audience .
to finish we had math , and we discivered the logarithms.
after school we went to the city center with Robert, we climb up the cathedral,took a lot of photos ,and a $2 Rice !!!
I bought a suimsuit on sale because I will manage to swimm soon .
thursday and friday were quite rainy and cold days , so we just went at school and then go back hone , enjoy to chat together or just play to the video games ,drinking our teas
nothing interesting to say about those days , I just went at the girl's school to the french lesson,a school fool of girls, a dream of many of men around the place , that was pretty cool
I helped the french teacher and introduced myself in french , the pupils tried to ask me few questions in french , but ,even after four years of french , they are not able to ask someone , or
have a conversation in french ...thank you my exchanges !

.On saturday afternoon, we met Connor at the art's center , after one hour looking around the place, searching him .
then we took the bus and we met Martin,Adam,Quentin,Nina,Betty and another girl at riccarton (Place with a lot of stores in it),
Finnally we went to Adam's place for tea , we watched Kung fu Panda, and his mother went back with 7 pizzas , for everyone.
at 8.30 pm we left ,me & Robert "The perfect house of the perfect family" (Adam's looks like an american movie's one)
At the bus stop , we were shot trough a car with a Paint ball .
Robert's clothes were yellow , I have not been touched , but the bullets crashed all arround me on the bus stop's glass... that was scary , because I thaught that were real bullets !
Sunday Morning was unbelievable : all the familly, excepted Franck (the lovely dog) left the house early , and drove across the canterbury plains , to arthurs pass , stopping to Lake Lindon ,
Castle Hill and Cave stream

Imagine a very green hill . ok ? then put on it the highest stones you have never seen in your hole life , grey ,and black , like created by a giant ages ago .

Cave stream is not as impressive , but really beautiful as well ! two rivers have changed their bed , and pass under the floor , in a small cave and, the ancient bed rivers make
now two gorge !!! BEAUTIFUL !! (Quoting Kindsay)
On sunday afternoon , I Took Franck(the Dog) for a walk to the kite festival at Mc Comack's bay , evryone told to me My dog was Loooovelyy ...french touch
...
after connor picks me up and we went toa supermarket to buy some ice cream , and at his place . I met his father , his mother and his sister , we played at Saint row , and we left , went to Burger king , have a supreme hamburger and some free and unlimited drinks , SPRITE RULES !!
We met a lot of our friends and we walked to the school , for a rugby meeting , about their journey in the uk , in 2010 .

This week was very quick and quite exciting. Monday kick started the week with an all round good day of watching movies and showing up my home stay in french. In media studies we started the
crime thriller The Bone Collector which is a great movie about CERIAL KILLER ( hahahaha get it!). Tuesday was pretty similar in terms of lessons and activities. Wednesday was a bit
different, school started late and finished early. During Assembly we had a visitor from the U.N come and speak to us about his life in the army and in Afgahnistan. Thursday was diferent ,
because Helene came at school due to the fact that her homestay had a prefect meeting . We stayed all the day with her , we made her visit our school , and finally sitting on the field and
chatting with Tom Bragg . That wasd a really good day !
Today was great, we finaly finished the Bone Collector which was an awesome flick in addition we watched The Kite Runner and a Documentary about Troy. After which we played Hand-ball and listened
to music on each others I-pods.
This week-end we are planning on going for the day to Akaroa which is the near by French settlement on the Banks Peninsula. Its quite small from what I hear but you can go swimming with dolphins
and go on boat trips in the harbour. There is a french cinema there but I probably won t go as there is not enough time. Sunday is going to be good and I will hang out with Connor when my home
stay goes to work.

On Saturday afternoon, we went to the Antarctic centre.
I enjoyed it so much, because that is not boring at all, as Connor used to say.
There is a closed room, at -8degres, the ground is covered
by snow and ice, and they create a “polar storm” every 30 mins...well it is not really a polar storm; just a 40km/h wind, and a decrease of the temperature; but in a museum it is quite amazing !
I met a familly of little blue penguins, and took a lot of photos
Then we watched a
movie about antarctica's landscape ,with beautiful pictures and vues.
After, we rode an Hagglund ,an all terrain amphibian vehicule very used in Antarctica,
It can travel at 3.5 knots (1 sailor knot=1 mile/hour) and able to climb up a 75 degres slop, and to get over a crevasse ... !
After a lazy Sunday
morning, Lindsay cooked up a fabulous meal for us (Chris’s mother came for lunch!),After lunch I went With robert to his job, and his parents picked me up there , to go to lyttelton ,
Christchurch's Port .
we had a short walk down the dock and the streets , an Ice cream , and we get to some of their friends' house, I enjoyed it very much , because they were special , but
really kind and funny, and I will have a lot of fun with them next last week end I expect so .
